TRANSFORMING OUR CITY AND BEYOND BY CONNECTING PEOPLE TO CHRIST, COMMUNITY, AND CALLING
INDOOR GATHERING UPDATE
AS OF MAY 17, 2021
This has been a season unlike any other. Through it all God has continued to show Himself faithful and YOU have continued to be the amazing congregation you are.
Given the recent move to “All Clear” for Arapahoe County, Governor Polis’ removal of the statewide mask mandate and the new guidelines provided by the CDC, there are some changes coming to our weekend worship services and weekly programming. As our city and society return to normal, we too are returning to normal at Colorado Community.
Please take a moment to carefully review our “Returning To Normal” FAQs. The information you find there will be helpful.
ONLINE PARTICIPANTS: If you are not able or just not yet comfortable to return, know that you are a valued member of our community and we will continue to do all we can to stay connected. This includes continuing to offer our worship service online as well as regular email updates.
Thank you for continuing to be who you have always been – a “Grace Centered” and kind congregation who know how to live peaceably with those that may have differing opinions on how we should live in these uncertain times. Let’s be patient with each other and bear all things in love.
We are excited to welcome you back to our CCC Basecamp whenever you are ready!
WILL OUR WORSHIP SERVICES STILL BE AVAILABLE ONLINE?
Yes! Starting June 5 & 6, we will begin live-streaming each of our service times (5:00p Saturday, 9:00a & 10:45a Sunday). This will better connect those worshipping online with those worshipping in-person. The 10:45a service will remain available online afterwards.
WHAT In-person VENUES WILL BE AVAILABLE?
Both our Worship Center and Chapel will be available during all our weekend service times. The entire service is live-streamed to the Chapel. At present, our Kids Ministry department will continue to provide kid-friendly elements at the 5:00p Saturday and 10:45a Sunday services in the Chapel.
What steps are being taken to help ensure everyone's health?
Our amazing facilities team regularly and thoroughly cleans and disinfects our entire facility. You can rest assured this is a priority for us. In addition, we encourage you to continue to practice those “healthy habits” you were taught as a child (remain home if you are not feeling well, regular hand washing, covering a cough or sneeze, etc.)
WILL EVERYONE WEAR A MASK?
We encourage you to review the Colorado Department of Health’s mask suggestions but ultimately, we leave the wearing of a mask to your personal discretion and level of comfort.
WHAT IS THE PLAN FOR KIDS MINISTRY?
We are getting back to traditional Sunday School classes! We cannot wait to have kids and teachers in the kids wing once again – learning about JESUS! We are phasing in different classes:
Currently, we have Sunday School for birth-4 years old during our 9:00a and 10:45a service. Please register your child ahead of time so that we know how many kids to expect. We do have class size limits. All attendees may practice their own personal preference (in accordance with the guidance of their parents) with regard to wearing a facial covering. Kids Ministry Volunteers will also practice their own personal preference in regard to facial covering.
You can register weekly here: Kid’s Ministry Sunday School Registration August 1st
Our next step will be to add Kindergarten-5th Grade Sunday School at the 10:45a service on August 1st, followed by 5p Birth to 4 years old and then elementary Sunday School. We will then add Kindergarten -5th Grade at 9a.
Worship Service Info on. Beginning August first we will no longer offer designated Family Seating in the Chapel. To help out, we will add some “Kid Friendly” elements to the 5:00p Saturday services in the Chapel.
WHAT IS THE PLAN FOR OUR YOUTH MINISTRY?
3CYouth offers two weekly gatherings as well as a host of awesome events for middle school and high school students. All attendees may practice their own personal preference (in accordance with the guidance of their parents) with regard to to wearing a facial covering and maintaining social distancing guidelines.
MIDWEEK is 3CYouth’s evening gathering, which features worship, games, organized recreation, and a brief sermon to challenge and inspire teens. High School Midweek meets at 5:00p on Sundays while Middle School Midweek meets at 6:00p on Wednesdays.
THE WEEKEND is a gathering designed to help 3CYouth teens dive deeper into God’s Word through a time of teaching and table discussion. Open to both middle and high school students, The Weekend takes place in the Youth Auditorium during the Saturday worship service at 5:00p and the Sunday worship service at 10:45a.
When will we resume passing the offering baskets?
We are grateful for how you have continued to worship God with your offerings over this past year. So many have moved their giving online and this has been immensely helpful. Many as well have brought your offering to place in our Blue Boxes or have even brought them to the church office each week. These options for worshipping with giving will continue but we do foresee a time, likely over the summer, where we resume passing our offering baskets during the worship services.
Stay tuned for more information.
WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP RIGHT NOW?
As we return to normal, we have plenty of opportunities available for those able to serve! Please fill out our volunteer form and we will contact you.
NOTE: at this time, it is a priority to reopen all of our Kids Ministry weekend classes as soon as possible. Please contact our Kids Ministry department for more information.
