Amber L. Murrell

Ch, Maj Amber L. Murrell is the Deputy Joint Base Chaplain, 673d Air Base Wing, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. She is responsible for implementing the Wing Commander’s comprehensive ministry plan, advising wing leadership on religious matters, directing all Protestant religious services, and ensuring opportunities for the free exercise of religion of over 10K Active Duty, 3K civilian personnel, 16K military dependents and 10K retirees. In this capacity, Ch Murrell leads a team of seven Air Force and Army chaplains, four civilians, and nine contractors. Her scope of care extends from the 673d Air Base Wing to the 55 tenant units to include United States Alaskan Command, 11th Air Force, the Alaskan North American Aerospace Defense Command Region, and the 3d Wing, as well as U.S. Army Alaska, the 4/25 Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), and all of their subordinate units.
