WOMEN’S MINISTRY

The honor and respect God has for women is profound. First person to whom Jesus revealed Himself as Messiah was a woman at a well. First person to whom He showed Himself after rising from the dead was Mary Magdalene. God trusted Rahab to help topple the walls of Mighty Jericho. He trusted Esther to help save His people from annihilation.

“From Beginning to Forever,” by Elizabeth Woodson
Many Christians today are daunted by the Bible, seeing the size and scope of Scripture as intimidating and overwhelming. The result is often a fragmented understanding of parts of the Bible, which leads us to view it through the lens of our individual stories, primarily looking for different verses or passages to help us live our everyday lives. But, in our search for personal truth, we fail to see how the entirety of Scripture works together to show a bigger story—God’s work to redeem and restore the entire world.

Ladies, we hope you’ll join us for this 8-week Bible study, “From Beginning to Forever,” by Elizabeth Woodson, as she guides you through the story of the Bible, showing how all 66 books combine to form one unified narrative. Weaving together the rich theological truths found in Genesis through Revelation, this study shows the eternal significance of what God is doing in the world and how he invites us to be a part of it.

We have 3 options for you to participate in this study (all options require registration):

  1. In person at the church
  2. Virtually through Zoom
  3. Independent study (videos sent weekly through Zoom; all correspondence done through email)

“Feasts of the Bible,” by Dr. Sam Nadler
Ladies, join us for this 6-session DVD study, “Feasts of the Bible,” by Dr. Sam Nadler. Some Christians miss the importance of the biblical feasts, seeing them as merely “Jewish” holidays, but Scripture says these are the Feasts of the Lord God, established for all people for all time. You’ll learn how the Hebrew roots of Christianity and the symbolism that points to Jesus Christ are connected.

Sam is a Jewish believer in Jesus who was brought up in an Orthodox Jewish home in Queens, New York. As he began looking at the Old Testament prophecies, they seemed to point to Jesus as the Messiah. He soon came to faith in Jesus and realized his Jewishness wasn’t just some accident of nature, but that God had a plan and purpose, not only for the Jewish people as a whole, but for Sam personally.

Men and women, we hope you’ll join us Wednesday mornings during the 2022-23 year! We love seeing what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word. Together we explore the Bible and what it tells us about the God who has woven His story through history and is present with us now.

We will be studying the Book of Revelation and 1 & 2 Peter.

Revelation: An exciting study in which Jesus Christ appears in all His glory. He is revealed as the Lamb of God, Bridegroom, King, and Judge. Prophecies are examined against the backdrop of God’s overriding plan for creation since the beginning of time and on through eternity. Class members will be inspired to worship and challenged to live in watchful readiness for the Lord’s return.

1 & 2 Peter: In these two letters, the apostle Peter offered encouragement to followers of Christ who were living as exiles and being persecuted for their faith. These books exhort believers to hope and godly living. They teach about godly relationships and warn about false teachers. They point to Jesus as our example in suffering and faith, and remind us that true security can be found only in God.

“The Women of Christmas: Experience the Season Afresh with Elizabeth, Mary and Anna,” by Liz Curtis Higgs

Best-selling author Liz Curtis Higgs explores the biblical stories of Elizabeth, Mary, and Anna, unwrapping each verse with tender care and introducing you afresh to The Women of Christmas.

Meet the women who played pivotal roles in Christ’s birth! Elizabeth is barren, yet trusts God’s promise. Mary is a virgin, but says yes when God asks her to bear his Son. And prophetess Anna proclaims the Messiah’s arrival. Unpacking each verse from the Gospel of Luke, Higgs illuminates their love, faithfulness, and obedience to God.

Following in the footsteps of these three women, you too can prepare for the Savior to enter your heart, your mind, and your life in a vibrant, new way this season.

“Now unto Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us …” – Ephesians 3:20

Women of CCC, you’re invited to join this prayer group where we will create a space for prayer-dependent women to come together in commitment to standing in the gap for each other, our families, our community and our world.

We believe that we serve a God who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, and expect Him to release His supernatural power through our intercession. The battle begins on our knees ladies…

As women of prayer, we seek to:

  • strengthen our commitment at Colorado Community Church to be a prayer-dependent church and be Kingdom focused by welcoming women from other churches to attend
  • release the power of God over our families in an even greater measure through communal prayer
  • further the Kingdom of God and His purposes
  • create strong bonds between sisters in Christ
