WOMEN’S MINISTRY

The honor and respect God has for women is profound. First person to whom Jesus revealed Himself as Messiah was a woman at a well. First person to whom He showed Himself after rising from the dead was Mary Magdalene. God trusted Rahab to help topple the walls of Mighty Jericho. He trusted Esther to help save His people from annihilation.

“Dream Big: Know What You Want, Why You Want it, and What You’re Going to Do About it,” by Bob Goff
At some point, we resign ourselves to living by the scripts and rhythms established by other people. Perhaps it’s a parent. Maybe it’s a pastor or a boss or a teacher. Maybe it’s a mortgage or wedding date or that next pay raise. Wherever the source, today there is an ocean full of people living on the life rafts of what they were expected to do. If we look at the mirror, we might see ourselves on that life raft as well.

Ladies, join us for this 5-session video study by bestselling author Bob Goff, as he dares to ask the questions: What would you do if opinion, reason, or probability were no objects? What do you deeply desire to do even if it scares you to the marrow of your bones? What were you meant to do even if no other person thinks you should? He shares stories from the Bible that show how God called certain individuals to follow him—regardless of their lack of “qualifications”—and how those people changed the world when they dared to follow God’s dreams for their lives. In the same way, God is calling us to step into the version of our lives that he intended for us before others told us it was impossible and once again dream big.

“1 and 2 Thessalonians: The Call to a Holy Life,” by Dr. David Jeremiah (no video)
Part of The Jeremiah Bible Studies series, 1 and 2 Thessalonians: The Call to a Holy Life brings Scripture to life in twelve lessons filled with teachings from Dr. David Jeremiah, one the most widely viewed and respected Bible teachers today. Each volume in the series includes study questions, commentary, and reflections to help readers understand what the Bible means to them today.

The apostle Paul founded many churches in the Roman Empire, including one in the Greek city of Thessalonica, which he visited during his second missionary journey. At that time Paul had been forced to flee the city, so he sent his coworker Timothy back to check on the congregation. Paul was encouraged at Timothy’s report but felt compelled to address misconceptions they had about the return of Christ. In each letter, Paul stressed that Jesus is coming back, that believers who are alive at the time will be gathered to Him, and that they needed to maintain a holy life and avoid idleness as they waited. Paul’s words likewise reveal to all believers today that Jesus will return—but that we need to keep doing His work in the meantime.

When: Wednesdays, August 31, 2022-May 3, 2023 – 9:30-11:30am

Where: Youth Auditorium

Cost: $35/adult

No Childcare

Men and women, we hope you’ll join us Wednesday mornings during the 2022-23 year! We love seeing what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word. Together we explore the Bible and what it tells us about the God who has woven His story through history and is present with us now.

We will be studying the Book of Revelation and 1 & 2 Peter.

Revelation: An exciting study in which Jesus Christ appears in all His glory. He is revealed as the Lamb of God, Bridegroom, King, and Judge. Prophecies are examined against the backdrop of God’s overriding plan for creation since the beginning of time and on through eternity. Class members will be inspired to worship and challenged to live in watchful readiness for the Lord’s return.

1 & 2 Peter: In these two letters, the apostle Peter offered encouragement to followers of Christ who were living as exiles and being persecuted for their faith. These books exhort believers to hope and godly living. They teach about godly relationships and warn about false teachers. They point to Jesus as our example in suffering and faith, and remind us that true security can be found only in God.

“The Women of Christmas: Experience the Season Afresh with Elizabeth, Mary and Anna,” by Liz Curtis Higgs

Meet the women who played pivotal roles in Christ’s birth! Elizabeth is barren, yet trusts God’s promise. Mary is a virgin, but says yes when God asks her to bear his Son. A sacred season is about to unfold for three women whose hearts belong to God. Elizabeth is barren, yet her trust in God remains fertile. Mary is betrothed in marriage, yet she is willing to bear God’s Son. Anna is a widow full of years, yet she waits patiently, prayerfully for the Messiah to appear in the temple courts.

“Now unto Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us …” – Ephesians 3:20

Women of CCC, you’re invited to join this prayer group where we will create a space for prayer-dependent women to come together in commitment to standing in the gap for each other, our families, our community and our world.

We believe that we serve a God who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, and expect Him to release His supernatural power through our intercession. The battle begins on our knees ladies…

As women of prayer, we seek to:

  • strengthen our commitment at Colorado Community Church to be a prayer-dependent church and be Kingdom focused by welcoming women from other churches to attend
  • release the power of God over our families in an even greater measure through communal prayer
  • further the Kingdom of God and His purposes
  • create strong bonds between sisters in Christ

Registration is requested, but not required. All are welcome!
